Changes in Supply of MicrobMonitor2

Air BP has distributed MicrobMonitor2 Test Kits to the oil industry on behalf of ECHA Microbiology Limited (“ECHA”), the manufacturer of the product, since 2002. During this time MicrobMonitor2 has become established as an on-site standard for testing for micro-organisms in oil.
However, it has become clear that the existing and emerging needs of MicrobMonitor2 customers would be better served by integrating the sales, distribution, manufacture, service and delivery into a single organisation. Therefore as of 29th September 2008, in full agreement with ECHA, Air BP will cease to be a distributor of MM2 test kits and ECHA will assume responsibility for all marketing, distribution, support and customer service. Air BP will still continue to buy MM2 kits for its own use as part of an on-going programme of monitoring and maintenance.

We believe that a fully integrated organisation will offer significant benefits to customers in terms of product development and improved customer service. For example, customers will be able to call directly on our expertise in microbiological contamination of fuels for assistance in their monitoring and prevention programmes.

Air BP has been working closely with ECHA to ensure this transfer happens with minimal impact on day to day business. Air BP will cease to accept new orders for MicrobMonitor2 at close of business on 26th September 2008.

On transfer there should be minimal impact on MicrobMonitor2 clients and there will be;

No change in the product specification or pack size.
No change in the price set by Air BP.
No change in delivery service levels.
No change in stock availability.
No change in currencies accepted.
No change in the high level or service and quality you are used to.

A revised www.microbmonitor.com site will go live on 29th September 2008. You will be able to obtain prices, place orders and make payments by credit card. You will be able to log on using the email address and password you registered with Air BP.
