ECHA ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 

ECHA Microbiology Ltd. specialises in solving problems of microbial fouling, spoilage and corrosion in industry and offers a complete range of services and products for a comprehensive solution.  These services include consultancy, advisory and investigation solutions, analytical and research services, training, test kits and treatments.
 
ECHA Microbiology Ltd. acknowledges that some of its various operations will have an impact upon the environment and is committed to preventing pollution.

ECHA Microbiology’s aim includes conducting its business in compliance with relevant legislation and strives towards continual environmental improvement and achievement of the Green Dragon environmental standard.

After performing an initial environmental review of company activities ECHA aims to:

  • Prioritise waste management; initially by setting up a recycling scheme for office waste and laboratory waste where possible.
  • Pay special attention to proper management of hazardous/special waste. 
  • Ensuring efficient use of energy by adopting a switch off when not in use policy and setting up, where possible, equipment to fall into stand by mode. 
  • Where practical reduce the consumption of energy, water and other resources in business activities.
  • Remain conscious of energy use in operation activities and commits to keeping energy use to a minimum.

Regular monitoring of the amount of waste disposed and energy used will be put in place to ensure that improvements are being made.

A copy of this policy will be on display in the office and on the company web site.
  
ECHA Microbiology Ltd. will review this policy on an annual basis to maintain and improve environmental standards.
